FIFA Sanctions Clubs for Match Manipulation



FIFA's Disciplinary Committee has sanctioned two clubs, Muhoroni Youth and Phu Tho, for match manipulation, relegating them to lower divisions.


FIFA has taken disciplinary action against two clubs, Muhoroni Youth in Kenya and another in Vietnam, for match manipulation. The Kenyan club has been expelled from the second-tier National Super League and relegated to the third tier. 




FIFA's Disciplinary Committee found Muhoroni Youth guilty of activities related to match manipulation, imposing severe sanctions on the club.


FIFA's Disciplinary Committee has handed down penalties to two clubs for match manipulation. ”The FIFA Disciplinary Committee has further ordered the relegation of the Muhoroni Youth senior team to the Football Kenya Federation Division One League (third tier) ahead of next season,” FIFA announced, while Vietnamese club Phu Tho's senior team was expelled from the Second Division and relegated to the third division. Both clubs can appeal the decisions.
