Inter Milan secures a spot in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals after a thrilling 2-2 draw with Bayern Munich, advancing 4-3 on aggregate. 



Inter Milan secured their spot in the Champions League semi-finals with a thrilling 2-2 draw against Bayern Munich at the San Siro, advancing 4-3 on aggregate.


The Nerazzurri had a strong advantage after winning the first leg away from home, and they built on that momentum despite Bayern's efforts. Inter's record in knockout ties after winning the first leg away suggested they would be tough to beat, and they proved it once again.


Vincent Kompany's Bayern Munich team laid out their intentions from the start, with Thomas Muller causing chaos and joining Michael Olise in shooting on goal. Inter required a crucial last-ditch challenge from Alessandro Bastoni to thwart Olise, but the hosts also had chances through Federico Dimarco and Hakan Calhanoglu.




The visitors increased the pressure before halftime, with Leroy Sane and Joshua Kimmich both hitting the target. Eric Dier made a crucial goal-line clearance and soon restored Bayern's lead with a remarkable header from a tight angle, meeting Serge Gnabry's cross. However, Inter held on despite intense pressure from Bayern in stoppage time, keeping their treble hopes alive and extending their unbeaten Champions League home streak to 15 matches.




The result sets up an intriguing semi-final matchup between Inter and Barcelona, with Inter seeking to reach the final for the second time in three seasons. Meanwhile, Bayern's defeat means they miss out on another trophy, although they appear poised to reclaim the Bundesliga title this season.
