Karsten Warholm shattered his own 300m hurdles world record at the Diamond League opener in Xiamen, China, crossing the finish line in 33.05 seconds. This impressive feat marked a 0.21-second improvement from his previous record of 33.26 seconds, set four years ago in Oslo.
The 29-year-old Norwegian athlete, a 400m hurdles world record holder and Olympic gold medalist, dominated the event. Warholm's victory was part of a stellar performance at the Diamond League meet, where other notable athletes also shone.

Beatrice Chebet's 5000m Victory: Beatrice Chebet edged out world record holder Gudaf Tsegay to win the women's 5000m, finishing in 14:27.12 minutes.
Additional Winners:
- Men's 100m: Akani Simbine won with a time of 9.99 seconds.
- Women's 200m: Shericka Jackson took the top spot with a time of 22.41 seconds.
- High Jump: Yaroslava Mahuchikh cleared 1.97 meters to secure the win.
Faith Kipyegon narrowly missed breaking the women's 1000m world record at the Xiamen Diamond League, finishing with an impressive time of 2 minutes 29.21 seconds. This remarkable feat was just 0.23 seconds shy of the decades-old record. Kipyegon's personal best in the 1000m stands at 2:29.15, showcasing her exceptional speed and endurance.
Armand Duplantis dominated the pole vault event, securing a comfortable win with a jump of 5.92m. However, he fell short of clearing 6.01m despite three attempts. Duplantis's performance, although impressive, didn't come close to threatening his world record of 6.27m set earlier this year in February.
