PSG Clinch Ligue 1 Title with 1-0 Win Over Angers
Paris Saint-Germain secured their 13th Ligue 1 title with a 1-0 win over Angers, thanks to Desire Doue's decisive volley in the second half.
Paris Saint-Germain secured their 13th Ligue 1 title with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Angers at the Parc des Princes. Desire Doue's decisive volley sealed the win for Les Parisiens, who became the first French top-flight side since 1994/95 to go unbeaten in their opening 28 matches.
The atmosphere inside the Parc des Princes was electric as PSG looked to clinch the title against Angers. However, the visitors nearly caught a break early on when Willian Pacho tripped Esteban Lepaul inside the PSG area. Referee Marc Bollengier waved away any penalty appeals, and the hosts were able to weather the storm.

PSG dominated possession and created chances, but they struggled to find their usual clinical edge in front of goal. Gonçalo Ramos headed a chance over the bar from just six yards out, highlighting the visitors' defensive resilience. Despite the lack of cutting edge, PSG's persistence ultimately paid off when Desire Doue's volley found the back of the net, securing the win and the title.
Vitinha also threatened to score his first Ligue 1 goal since early February, unleashing a powerful long-range strike that forced Yahia Fofana into a spectacular fingertip save just before half-time. Despite the visitors' goalkeeper making crucial saves, PSG's pressure ultimately paid off in the second half.
The deadlock was broken when Desire Doue volleyed home Khvicha Kvaratskhelia's cross from close range, giving PSG the lead in the 12th consecutive Ligue 1 home match. The hosts then created a flurry of chances, with Fabian Ruiz having a prime opportunity to double the advantage. However, Ruiz's low shot inside the area was denied by Fofana's reaction save.

PSG's victory marked their 13th Ligue 1 title, secured with six matches to spare. While they have achieved domestic success, Luis Enrique's team still has ambitions to be pursued in the UEFA Champions League and Coupe de France. Meanwhile, Angers' relegation worries deepened as they suffered their fifth consecutive Ligue 1 defeat without scoring, a drought not seen since May 1980.
