Real Madrid's Ferland Mendy has been diagnosed with a rupture of the proximal tendon of the anterior rectus in the right quadriceps. According to local media, he could be out for up to a month, adding to the France left-back's injury-plagued season.

Ferland Mendy has struggled with injuries this season, missing over a month with a hamstring issue in March and nearly two weeks in December due to a muscle injury. Now, he's facing a potentially season-ending rupture in his right thigh muscle.

After appearing as a substitute in Saturday's final, David Alaba has been diagnosed with a “ruptured internal meniscus in his left knee,” according to Real Madrid. Reports indicate he'll undergo surgery and face a rehabilitation period of six to eight weeks.

Alaba's injury adds to Real Madrid's growing defensive woes, alongside Ferland Mendy's potentially season-ending thigh injury. Antonio Rudiger also recently underwent knee surgery. With Barcelona four points ahead in LaLiga, Real Madrid hosts Celta Vigo on Sunday.
