Brendan Rodgers' Celtic Secure Fourth Consecutive Scottish Title in Style
Celtic wins fourth successive Scottish Premiership title with a 5-0 thrashing of Dundee United, cementing their dominance in Scottish football.
Celtic secured their fourth consecutive Scottish Premiership title with a resounding 5-0 victory over Dundee United. Nicolas Kuhn and Adam Idah each scored twice, following Ryan Strain's own goal that set the tone for Celtic's dominant performance.
The champions now lead second-placed Rangers by 18 points, with four games remaining for Celtic and five for Rangers. This win cements Celtic's dominance in Scotland, with the Glasgow club claiming 21 of the last 26 domestic trophies under Brendan Rodgers' leadership.
Celtic had only required a point to start celebrating, but the goal spree amplified the festivities. The 5-0 win mirrored a similar victory over Kilmarnock last season, which marked Rodgers' first title win upon returning to Parkhead.
Brendan Rodgers' title win marks his 11th major trophy as Celtic manager. The victory keeps Celtic on track for their sixth treble in nine seasons, with the Scottish Cup final against Aberdeen in May.
Celtic substitute James Forrest set a new club record with his 26th winners' medal, surpassing Bobby Lennox.
“Amazing performance, outstanding,” said Celtic captain Callum McGregor. “It means the world to us.”
“The sky is the limit for us. We were so good today. We have four league games to try and arrive into the Scottish Cup final in the best moment.
“If we do that, we have the chance to do something special this season.”
Celtic's title celebration was briefly interrupted when Dundee United fans threw tangerines onto the pitch, protesting high ticket prices of up to £42. Despite the delay, Celtic's dominance was evident throughout the season.
The Hoops maintained a significant lead, with Rangers and Aberdeen struggling to keep pace. Aberdeen had matched Celtic's pace early on but suffered a spectacular collapse. Rangers fell behind early and never recovered, with Celtic's first league defeat not coming until January 2, leaving them 13 points clear at the time.

Brendan Rodgers had previously expressed frustration with his players after a loss to St Johnstone, criticizing them for being too comfortable. However, Celtic responded strongly, scoring five goals in each of their next three matches.
With the domestic title secured and a narrow exit from the Champions League, Rodgers will now focus on bolstering Celtic's squad for further domestic success and European challenges next season.
