Collingwood Magpies secure their future with Bobby Hill signing a four-year contract extension, locking in the 2023 Norm Smith Medallist until 2030.

Bobby Hill Commits to Collingwood
Bobby Hill has signed a four-year contract extension with Collingwood, securing his stay at the club until the end of 2030. The 25-year-old, who won the 2023 Norm Smith Medal, will remain at Olympic Park for at least another five seasons.

Hill joined Collingwood in 2023 after being traded from the GWS Giants, where he played 41 games, and has now committed to the Magpies for the long term.

Bobby Hill has been a consistent performer for Collingwood, missing only two games since the start of their 2023 flag-winning campaign. If he continues on this trajectory, he'll reach over 200 career appearances despite a disrupted start to his career.

Hill's contract extension aligns him with key teammates Dan Houston and the Daicos brothers, who are also signed through to the end of the decade. “The Lexus Centre feels like home,” Hill said in a club media statement, expressing his commitment to Collingwood.

“My family loves it, especially my son, he loves it, running around like he owns the place.

“Collingwood is my future and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my career here.

“Getting the taste of premiership success in 2023, that’s what drives me to want to play more footy here at the Pies in front of our big fan base.

“From now to 2030, I’d love to achieve more premiership success but I really just want to keep playing consistent footy and making more memories to cherish for the rest of my life.”
