Amorim also took the opportunity to clarify his previous comments regarding Christian Eriksen's absence from the team's 1-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur last Sunday. Amorim had mentioned Eriksen's “heart situation,” which led to some confusion. However, Eriksen later revealed on Instagram that he was simply suffering from a virus. Amorim sought to clear up any misunderstanding, saying, “With Chris, it was a misunderstanding. I want to be really clear on that also, because of Chris, he's healthy and ready to play for many years at a high level.”

Amorim acknowledged that his explanation of Eriksen's injury may have been unclear, and he wanted to reassure everyone that the player's health is not a concern. “It's just my limitations explaining the injuries. I want to make this really clear,” Amorim said, emphasizing his commitment to transparency and accuracy when discussing player injuries.

We are in a difficult situation in the Premier League, and we have a lot of issues to solve in every game.” He stressed that his priority is the Premier League, saying, “If I see our performances, and focus on Real Sociedad or think about trophies in the moment, it is not the right way to do my job. I just want to win against Everton.”
