Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers is dealing with an injury that has left his status for Saturday's Wild Card playoff game against the Pittsburgh Steelers uncertain. According to head coach John Harbaugh, Flowers is currently listed as  day-to-day.”


Flowers suffered the injury during Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns, when linebacker Mohamoud Diabate collided with his knee during a tackle. Flowers was forced to leave the game early, and his availability for the playoff matchup against the Steelers remains in question.

Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh provided an update on wide receiver Rashod Bateman's replacement, River Cracraft was not mentioned, but instead Flowers, “It's not a season-ending injury. It's going to be day-to-day and him doing everything he can do to get back as soon as he can,” said Harbaugh.


Flowers ended the regular season on a sour note, despite a career-high 1,059 yards and four touchdowns on 74 receptions. His impressive performance earned him a spot on the starting Pro Bowl roster.

In the event that Flowers is unable to play on Saturday, the Ravens will rely heavily on wide receiver Rashod Bateman and tight ends Mark Andrews and Isaiah Likely to pick up the slack. Flowers has been a key contributor to the Ravens' offense, particularly against the Pittsburgh Steelers, against whom he has recorded 139 yards and one touchdown on just seven receptions in their two matchups this season.


In a recent social media post, Flowers revealed a new look, having cut off his dreadlocks in time for the playoffs. As he works to return from injury, Flowers' teammates will look to step up and fill the void in his absence.
