Rashford's Manchester United Career in Doubt After Amorim's Comments
Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has refused to confirm whether Marcus Rashford will play for the club again, sparking uncertainty about the forward's future.
Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim was tight-lipped about Marcus Rashford's future with the club, refusing to confirm whether the 27-year-old forward would play for the Red Devils again. Amorim's comments came after Manchester United's FA Cup third-round victory over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium, which was decided by a penalty shootout after the match ended 1-1 following normal and extra time.
When questioned about Rashford's prospects, Amorim was non-committal, saying, “I don't know. I don't know, we'll see. He is a player for Manchester United. We'll see.” The Manchester United manager emphasized that Rashford needs to work hard and represent the club, but also made it clear that he has to make tough decisions when selecting his team. “He has to work. He has to represent this club, and he loves this club, but I have to make choices. (I) already spoke about how I make the choices. So it is what it is,” Amorim explained.
Amorim chose not to dwell on the issue, instead focusing on the team's upcoming fixtures. “So let's continue. Let's see the next game. And like I said, I have to make a selection,” he said. Manchester United's victory over Arsenal was secured by Joshua Zirkzee's decisive penalty in the shootout, and the team will look to build on this momentum in their next match.
