Paris Saint-Germain secured their spot in the UEFA Champions League knockout play-offs with a convincing 4-1 win over Stuttgart. The German side fell short of qualification by a single point on the final matchday. PSG's victory came on the heels of their stunning comeback against Manchester City, where they overturned a two-goal deficit to win 4-2.

PSG wasted no time asserting their dominance over Stuttgart, breaking the deadlock inside six minutes. Bradley Barcola scored his side's fastest goal of the UCL campaign, pouncing on Desire Doue's corner at the far post. Gianluigi Donnarumma then made a fantastic point-blank save to deny Chris uührich, before Barcola turned provider, setting up Ousmane Dembele for a simple tap-in on the counter.

PSG doubled their lead, and moments later, Fabian Bredlow made a crucial goalline stop to deny Doue. However, he was powerless to prevent Dembele from rifling a sensational strike into the top left corner after picking up Joao Neves' pass. This left Stuttgart trailing by three goals before halftime. Despite Stuttgart's intent after the break, Dembele soon put the game beyond their reach.

Dembele completed his hat-trick with a sublime first-time strike into the top corner after a slick one-two with Achraf Hakimi. This sealed PSG's 4-1 victory and ensured their progression to the UCL knockout play-offs.

With the game all but over, Stuttgart showed resilience and scored a consolation goal through Chris Fuhrich. Fuhrich directed Maximilian Mittelstadt's precise cross into the bottom right corner, denying PSG a clean sheet for the sixth consecutive match across all competitions.

The consolation goal was merely a footnote, as Stuttgart's defeat marked their exit from the UEFA Champions League. They concluded their campaign with 10 points from eight games. PSG, on the other hand, celebrated their victory in the first-ever competitive meeting between the two sides.

The win extended PSG's unbeaten streak to 13 games across all competitions, with their last defeat coming against Bayern Munich in late November. Les Parisiens' triumph maintained their momentum, as they continue to navigate multiple competitions.
