Manchester United Trigger Contract Extension Option for Harry Maguire
Manchester United trigger one-year contract extension option for Harry Maguire, securing his services until June 2026.
Manchester United has exercised their option to extend Harry Maguire's contract by an additional year, securing the defender's services until June 2026. The decision was confirmed by manager Rúben Amorim, who emphasized the importance of Maguire's role at the club.
“We will trigger our option, we need Harry a lot,” Amorim stated, highlighting Maguire's value to the team. However, Amorim also emphasized the need for Maguire to improve as a leader on the pitch. “He needs to improve as a leader because we are starving for leaders on the pitch,” the manager added.
By extending Maguire's contract, Manchester United has ensured that the defender will remain a key player at the club for the foreseeable future. Maguire has been an important figure in the United squad since his arrival in 2019, and the club will be hoping that he can continue to deliver strong performances and provide leadership on the pitch.
