Transfer: Manchester United Defender Tyrell Malacia Nears Loan Exit
Manchester United defender Tyrell Malacia is reportedly close to joining a top European league club on loan, having made just six appearances for the Red Devils since returning from injury.
Manchester United's 25-year-old defender Tyrell Malacia is reportedly close to leaving the club on loan. Malacia has struggled to regain his footing since returning from a lengthy injury layoff, which kept him sidelined for nearly 18 months. He has made just six appearances for the Red Devils since his return.
According to Dutch outlet Blaauwhof, Malacia was given the green light to explore loan options after Manchester United's Premier League match against Southampton, where he was an unused substitute. It is reported that Malacia is now “very close” to securing a loan deal with a top European league club, although the identity of the club remains unknown.
Malacia joined Manchester United from Feyenoord in 2022 for a transfer fee of €15 million. During his time at Old Trafford, he has made a total of 45 appearances for the club. Despite his limited playing time in recent months, Malacia has earned nine caps for the Netherlands national team.
