Las Vegas Raiders Set to Appoint Pete Carroll as Next Head Coach

The Las Vegas Raiders are reportedly set to name Pete Carroll as their new head coach, with the veteran coach agreeing to a three-year deal.

The Las Vegas Raiders are reportedly on the verge of appointing Pete Carroll as their new head coach. According to sources, Carroll has agreed to a three-year deal with the team, and other candidates have been informed that he is the top choice for the position.

Carroll boasts an impressive coaching resume, having led the Seattle Seahawks to a Super Bowl victory during his 14-year tenure with the team. He accumulated 137 wins with the Seahawks, making him the franchise's winningest coach. Carroll has also had stints as the head coach of the New York Jets (1994) and the New England Patriots (1997-1999), compiling an overall record of 170-120-1.

The Raiders' search for a new head coach began earlier this month, following the departure of Antonio Pierce after a disappointing 4-13 season. With Carroll at the helm, the Raiders will be led by a seasoned coach with a proven track record of success.

Carroll's arrival in Las Vegas means he will be joining a division filled with accomplished coaches. The AFC West is home to several title-winning coaches, including Jim Harbaugh (Michigan national champion), Andy Reid (three-time Super Bowl winner with the Kansas City Chiefs), and Sean Payton (Super Bowl winner with the New Orleans Saints, now head coach of the Denver Broncos).
