Tottenham midfielder Dejan Kulusevski has publicly backed manager Ange Postecoglou, expressing his commitment to the team's goals despite recent league struggles.

Tottenham midfielder Dejan Kulusevski has expressed his support for manager Ange Postecoglou ahead of their Europa League clash against IF Elfsborg on Thursday. Kulusevski was optimistic about the club's chances in the cup competitions, despite their recent poor form. “I agree with him (Postecoglou) that the club can do something special,” Kulusevski said. "We are doing really well in the cups, it is easy to focus on the league but we are doing really well in the cups.

Kulusevski emphasized the importance of their upcoming match against IF Elfsborg, highlighting the opportunity to advance to the next round. “Tomorrow is an important game and if we win we are through to the next round so I think we can do big things these last four months,” he noted. The Swedish international's comments come at a time when Postecoglou is reportedly under pressure due to Tottenham's league position.

Despite this, Kulusevski backed his manager, citing the team's impressive performances in certain games. “We had games where we showed perfect football, football that not many teams can play,” he said. “We played beautiful games against (Manchester) United, City away 4-0. I think he is the right man. We want to win for him.” Kulusevski's endorsement of Postecoglou demonstrates the team's support for their manager amidst challenging times.

Dejan Kulusevski has reiterated his support for Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou, emphasizing his commitment to fighting for the team's goals. “I have to fight for him because I believe in that football too. I think he is the right man,” Kulusevski said. He also acknowledged that opinions about the team's performance may vary, but he remains focused on the bigger picture. “Opinions change, I don't listen to anyone. I know the truth, I see the truth from my side. It's not important what people say, it never has been actually.”

Kulusevski reflected on the team's recent struggles in the league, but expressed optimism about their prospects in the remaining competitions. “The league is bad and the game on Sunday was tough to lose. You have to stay clear-minded and focus on the goals,” he noted. When asked if this was the most challenging period of his career, Kulusevski chose to focus on the positives. ”It is not suffering. I tell you in the league, losing that many games that is suffering. It's very hard on me losing games. But I still have to see the bigger picture, I think we can do amazing things because we are left in three cups and that is where my focus is.”

The Swedish midfielder acknowledged that balancing disappointment with optimism can be challenging. “It's a balance. It is suffering but at the same time I am still positive. I still see the opportunities,” he said. Kulusevski was also asked about the team's transfer activity during the January window, particularly given the number of injuries. However, he deflected the question, stating, “You are asking the wrong guy. I am playing, I am doing everything I can for the possibilities. It is not in my control.”

Finally, Kulusevski briefly addressed a fan song that praises his contributions to the team while criticizing chairman Daniel Levy. With a smile, he said, ”I am just playing. If they see what I give and if they appreciate, it's even better.”
