Kulusevski Backs Postecoglou Amid Tottenham Pressure

Tottenham midfielder Dejan Kulusevski has expressed his support for manager Ange Postecoglou ahead of their Europa League clash against IF Elfsborg on Thursday. Kulusevski was optimistic about the club's chances in the cup competitions, despite their recent poor form. “I agree with him (Postecoglou) that the club can do something special,” Kulusevski said. "We are doing really well in the cups, it is easy to focus on the league but we are doing really well in the cups.

Kulusevski emphasized the importance of their upcoming match against IF Elfsborg, highlighting the opportunity to advance to the next round. “Tomorrow is an important game and if we win we are through to the next round so I think we can do big things these last four months,” he noted. Despite this, Kulusevski backed his manager, citing the team's impressive performances in certain games. “We had games where we showed perfect football, football that not many teams can play,” he said. “We played beautiful games against (Manchester) United, City away 4-0. The Swedish midfielder acknowledged that balancing disappointment with optimism can be challenging. “It's a balance. It is suffering but at the same time I am still positive. I still see the opportunities,” he said. Kulusevski was also asked about the team's transfer activity during the January window, particularly given the number of injuries. However, he deflected the question, stating, “You are asking the wrong guy. I am playing, I am doing everything I can for the possibilities. It is not in my control.”
