Juventus Coach Motta Confident Ahead of Club Brugge Match

Juventus coach Thiago Motta has praised his team's growth and development, particularly among young players, ahead of their Champions League clash with Club Brugge on Tuesday.

Juventus coach Thiago Motta has expressed his admiration for the young players in his squad ahead of their Champions League clash with Club Brugge on Tuesday. Motta's praise comes as Juventus prepares to face Brugge in a crucial match, with the Italian side currently 14th in the Champions League table with 11 points, just two points shy of the top eight.

Motta revealed that he has most of his squad available for selection, which will provide a significant boost to the team. “I'm happy to have everyone available, because this can help the team to start but also during the game... (it) can give us continuity,” he explained during a press conference on Monday. The only notable absentees will be defenders Gleison Bremer and Juan Cabal, who are both out for the season with injuries.

Juventus enters the match against Brugge on the back of a strong performance in Serie A, where they extended their unbeaten streak to 21 games with a 2-0 win over AC Milan on Saturday. The victory marked their first in four league games and briefly propelled them into the top four of the Serie A table. With momentum on their side, Juventus will be looking to carry their form into the Champions League and secure a crucial win against Brugge.

Juventus coach Thiago Motta has expressed his satisfaction with the growth and development of his team, particularly the young players. “I see growth, but not only in the last matches,” Motta said. “I see growth from the beginning (of the campaign), despite injuries, transformation of the squad, young team.” This growth was evident in their 2-0 win over AC Milan on Saturday, which has given the team a boost ahead of their Champions League clash with Club Brugge.

Motta acknowledged that the victory over Milan has injected enthusiasm and energy into the team, which will be crucial in their preparation for the challenging match against Brugge. “The victory gave us more enthusiasm and more energy to prepare for a complicated match like tomorrow's,” he said. “We have to give our all to get the victory.” Juventus will be looking to capitalize on their recent form and secure a crucial win in the Champions League.

One of the standout performers in the win over Milan was forward Samuel Mbangula, who scored the opening goal. Motta praised Mbangula's evolution, saying, “His evolution is very good.” Motta also commended the work of the youth sector, which has produced talented players like Mbangula, Nicolo Savona, and Kenan Yildiz. “Last year he played in the Next Gen and we have to compliment those who work in the youth sector, because we now have him, (defender Nicolo) Savona and (forward Kenan) Yildiz.”

Motta was cautious when asked about the potential starting lineup for the match against Brugge, particularly regarding the fitness of striker Dusan Vlahovic. Vlahovic returned from injury and came off the bench against Milan, but Motta remained tight-lipped about his starting chances. “I can't say. On Saturday I made a technical choice, even though he returned from a flexor problem. Now we have many choices.”
