Lewis Hamilton's Dream Come True:
Joining Ferrari in Formula 1

Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton, the most successful driver in Formula 1 history, has fulfilled a lifelong dream by joining Ferrari. The 40-year-old British driver began his first official day at Ferrari's headquarters in Maranello on Monday, marking a significant milestone in his illustrious career.

Hamilton's move to Ferrari comes almost a year after he announced his surprise decision to leave Mercedes, where he won six of his seven Formula 1 world championships. The highly anticipated transfer has generated immense excitement among Formula 1 fans worldwide.

Hamilton took to Instagram to express his emotions on this momentous occasion. “There are some days that you know you'll remember forever and today, my first as a Ferrari driver, is one of those days,” he wrote. “I've been lucky enough to have achieved things in my career I never thought possible, but part of me has always held on to that dream of racing in red. I couldn't be happier to realise that dream today.”

Lewis Hamilton Begins Ferrari Journey

Lewis Hamilton's highly anticipated tenure with Ferrari officially commenced, with the seven-time World Champion undergoing a seat fitting and simulator session on his first day. However, due to inclement weather, Hamilton's inaugural outing at the Fiorano test track is likely to be delayed until Wednesday. Official testing for the 2025 season is scheduled to take place in Bahrain from February 26-28.

Hamilton's 2024 season was his worst in terms of championship position, finishing seventh overall. Despite this, he secured two victories, ending a two-season drought without a win. His last championship title came in 2020. This season, Hamilton will partner with Charles Leclerc at Ferrari, a team that has not claimed a driver's title since 2007.

Hamilton takes the place of Carlos Sainz, who has joined Williams, and is eager to contribute to Ferrari's success. The 2025 season will kick off with the Australian Grand Prix from March 14-16. Reflecting on this new chapter, Hamilton stated, “Today we start a new era in the history of this iconic team, and I can't wait to see what story we will write together.”
