Feyenoord Backs Manager Brian Priske Despite Struggles
Feyenoord has expressed its support for manager Brian Priske, despite the team's disappointing performance in the Premier League.
Technical director Dennis te Kloese confirmed that Priske will remain at the helm, stating: “While I do not want to make a habit of responding to stories and rumors, I would like to confirm that Brian is the manager of Feyenoord.” Te Kloese also revealed that he and Priske had engaged in lengthy discussions, which helped to further refine their vision for the club. “Today, after the special night against Bayern, we spoke at length and further refined our vision,” Te Kloese added. What we see together is that there are many things that are incredibly positive and going well. Consider, for example, the impressive performance in the Champions League, which further strengthens and values not only the team but also our players. “In addition, we are proud of the advancement and development of our young talents, who are also playing an increasingly important role in the team.”

Room for Improvement
Feyenoord's impressive 3-0 win against Bayern Munich has significantly boosted their chances of advancing to the next round of the Champions League. A favorable result against Lille could even secure a spot in the round-of-16. However, despite this success, technical director Dennis te Kloese acknowledges that the team's performance in the premier league has been subpar.
“The performance in the premier league and thus the ranking is obviously not good enough,” Te Kloese continued. With a shared ambition and focus, we will continue to build on our game and improve our performance. “At Feyenoord we believe in the power of working together, in which players, staff and organization operate as one. After all, that is the basis of our success.” This emphasis on collective effort and collaboration will be crucial in driving the team's improvement in the premier league.
Brian Priske, who has been under contract at Feyenoord through 2027, will continue to play a key role in the team's development. The Danish manager arrived at Feyenoord last summer, succeeding Arne Slot, who departed to join Liverpool, the current Premier League leaders.
