Fenerbahce Fans Thwarted in Attempt to Buy Tickets for FC Midtjylland Section

Fenerbahce fans have been prevented from buying tickets for the FC Midtjylland section ahead of their Europa League clash, with the Danish club implementing strict security measures to ensure supporter safety.

A significant number of Fenerbahce fans have been prevented from purchasing tickets for the Danish section of the upcoming Europa League match against FC Midtjylland on January 30. The match, which is expected to be a decisive clash, has generated immense interest, with FC Midtjylland reporting that the MCH Arena, with a capacity of 12,055 spectators, has been sold out.

FC Midtjylland noted that the ticket system has been under immense pressure, with demand for tickets far exceeding supply. In fact, the club estimates that they could have sold at least twice as many tickets for the match. Due to the difficulty in obtaining tickets, some Turkish fans attempted to buy tickets for the home team's section, but their efforts were thwarted.

To prevent Fenerbahce fans from infiltrating the home team's section, FC Midtjylland had implemented specific restrictions. For instance, tickets for the FCM section were only available for purchase by individuals who had previously bought tickets for the MCH Arena. This measure proved to be a significant obstacle for many Turkish supporters attempting to buy tickets for the wrong section.

FC Midtjylland has also become aware of Fenerbahce fans contacting their supporters with offers to buy their tickets. The club has emphasized that such transactions are strictly prohibited. If any Fenerbahce supporters manage to gain access to the home team's stands, they will be expelled without a refund. To ensure security, FC Midtjylland will have an increased security setup in place, and fans will be required to present a Danish ID to gain access to the FCM fan section.
