Clashes between Real Sociedad fans and Lazio ultras in central Rome left nine Spanish supporters injured on the eve of the teams' Europa League match. The incident occurred on Wednesday at approximately 23:00 CET in Via Leonina, near the iconic Colosseum.
According to a Rome police spokesperson, around 80 Lazio supporters attacked a group of about 70 Real Sociedad fans using various blunt objects and knives. Police released images of the presumed weapons used in the assault, including a hammer, sticks, batons, wrenches, and a chain.
