Lyon Forward Georges Mikautadze Unharmed After Armed Robbery
Georgia international Georges Mikautadze was shaken but unharmed after two armed men robbed his home on Sunday.
Olympique Lyonnais forward Georges Mikautadze has confirmed that he is unharmed after being the victim of an armed robbery at his home on Sunday. The incident occurred following Lyon's 4-1 victory over Nice in a Ligue 1 match.
According to reports in the French media, two armed individuals entered Mikautadze's residence, forcing the 24-year-old Georgia international to surrender valuable possessions worth an estimated 150,000 to 200,000 euros. Fortunately, Mikautadze did not suffer any physical harm during the ordeal.
“After last night's event, I would like to reassure you that I'm fine and haven't suffered any physical damage,” Mikautadze, who joined Lyon from Metz in July, wrote in a post on Instagram.
“Thank you for your many messages of support, they mean a lot to me. I'm staying focused on my goals and look forward to seeing you soon.”
