A devastating road accident occurred in Imo State on Tuesday, November 5, claiming 17 lives. The fatal collision involved a tipper and an 18-seater commercial bus on Orlu Road, Owerri.

According to eyewitnesses, the tipper driver, attempting to avoid a pothole, veered into the bus's lane, causing the catastrophic crash. Unfortunately, everyone aboard the bus perished.

Rescue efforts revealed gruesome scenes: some bodies were trapped beneath the wreckage, while others were retrieved and transported to a nearby morgue. The tipper driver survived but remains unconscious with severe injuries.
