Dortmund vs Bayern: Kompany Warns of Tough Challenge Ahead of Bundesliga Clash

Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany is bracing for a tough match against Dortmund, despite his team's dominant form in the Bundesliga.

Bayern Munich head coach Vincent Kompany is anticipating a challenging encounter against Borussia Dortmund in Saturday's Bundesliga 'Klassiker', despite his team's impressive form. The Bavarians have secured seven consecutive victories, accompanied by an equally impressive seven straight clean sheets.

Kompany, however, is refusing to dwell on past successes, acknowledging that they will have no bearing on the outcome of the upcoming match. Under Kompany's guidance in his inaugural season, Bayern Munich appear to have regained their domestic dominance, following Bayer Leverkusen's league and cup double last year.

Bayern Munich's dominance in the Bundesliga continues unabated, with the team remaining undefeated and holding a commanding six-point lead at the top of the table. Eintracht Frankfurt trails in second place, unable to keep pace with Bayern's relentless form.

The Bavarians' defensive solidity has been a key factor in their success, with the team having maintained a clean sheet in their last five Bundesliga matches and seven across all competitions. At the other end of the pitch, Bayern have been prolific, scoring an impressive 36 goals in just 11 league matches. Star striker Harry Kane has been instrumental in this attacking prowess, already notching 14 league goals this season to establish himself as the Bundesliga's leading scorer.

“The last results are gone now. I just want us to win the game tomorrow. It's the Klassiker," Kompany told a press conference on Friday. “I like that these games have this special build-up. We all look forward to these games.”

“If you look at the big picture, it's important for us not to look too much at how others see our players. It's how we see them that's important.”

Bayern Munich is heading to Dortmund for a highly anticipated match, but the hosts are struggling to find their footing in the league despite their impressive run in the Champions League. Dortmund's injuries have taken a toll, causing them to drop to fifth place in the Bundesliga with 19 points, a whopping 10 points behind Bayern.

Despite their recent struggles, Bayern Munich's coach Vincent Kompany is preparing for a tough match, expecting to face the best version of Dortmund. Interestingly, Dortmund has a perfect record at home, winning all six of their Bundesliga home matches. This could make for a thrilling encounter, especially considering Bayern's impressive form, with seven consecutive wins and seven straight clean sheets.

“Our preparation is for the best version of the team. If they are top then they go high into their pressing game, they are extremely dangerous on the break with their speed on the wings,” Kompany said of Dortmund.

“When they are at their best, they are also very, very good at building up the play. It's not going to be an easy game, it'll be tough.”
