Jose Mourinho's Fenerbahce holds Manchester United to Europa League draw. Mourinho sent off in heated clash.

Jose Mourinho's Fenerbahce staged a dramatic comeback to hold Manchester United to a 1-1 draw in the Europa League. Christian Eriksen's fourth goal of the season put United ahead, but Youssef En-Nesyri's header after the break leveled the score.

Mourinho was sent off by referee Clement Turpin just before the hour mark for protesting a penalty claim. Despite furious protests, VAR backed Turpin's decision.

United had chances to win but substitute Rasmus Hojlund opted to go alone instead of passing to Alejandro Garnacho, and Garnacho later lost control of the ball in the area.

Manchester United's injury woes continued as Antony was stretchered off after landing awkwardly. Manager Erik ten Hag faces another challenge with 10 players already missing.

Fenerbahce deserved the draw, capitalizing on United's failure to heed warnings from En-Nesyri's earlier opportunities. United's Ugarte and Onana impressed, but Ten Hag's side remains off the pace with three points from three games.
