Monaco pulled off an incredible comeback, scoring an 89th-minute penalty to draw 2-2 against Dinamo Zagreb in torrential conditions in Croatia. The match seemed all but lost for Monaco, trailing 2-0 until Mohammed Salisu's 74th-minute header sparked a thrilling finale.


Dinamo Zagreb had taken the lead through Petar Sucic's breakaway goal on the stroke of halftime, capitalizing on a swift counterattack. Martin Baturina's superb curling effort in the 66th minute seemed to seal the win for the Croatian side.


However, Monaco's resilience paid off. Takumi Minamino's effort was cleared off the line, but moments later, Folarin Balogun was fouled, earning a crucial penalty. Captain Denis Zakaria converted the spot-kick, blasting the ball into the net with one minute of normal time remaining.


This stunning comeback denied Dinamo Zagreb their first Champions League win of the season. Instead, Monaco secured a valuable point, keeping their hopes alive in Group D.
