Atalanta celebrated Coach Gian Piero Gasperini's 400th game in style, thrashing Hellas Verona 6-1 in Serie A. Mateo Retegui and Ademola Lookman scored two goals each.
Marten de Roon opened the scoring in the 6th minute, followed by Retegui's strike. Charles De Ketelaere's magnificent left-foot finish made it 3-0. Lookman added two more.
Verona's Amin Sarr scored a consolation goal with a ferocious finish. Retegui completed his brace after the restart.
The victory marked a return to form for Atalanta, who drew 0-0 with Celtic in the Champions League midweek.
