Kendrick Lamar dominates 2024 BET Hip Hop Awards with 8 wins, including Artist of the Year and Song of the Year.

Nigerian music icons Burna Boy (Damini Ogulu) and Odumodublvck (Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu) fell short in their respective categories at the 2024 BET Hip Hop Awards, which aired on Tuesday from Las Vegas's Drai's Beach Club Nightclub.

Kendrick Lamar stole the show, dominating the awards ceremony. Burna Boy, who was nominated for 'Best Live Performer', was edged out by legendary US rapper Missy Elliot. Meanwhile, British songwriter Ghetts claimed the award in Odumodublvck's category.

The nominations for Burna Boy and Odumodublvck were announced in September, generating excitement among fans. Despite missing out on the awards, their nominations underscored their growing influence on the global music scene.
