Election Highlights

A woman emerged victorious as the chairperson of Ogori-Magongo LGA, marking a significant milestone for gender representation in the state's politics.

In line with its commitment to empowering women, the Kogi APC had reserved all LGA vice-chairperson positions for female candidates.

Furthermore, the APC allocated 40% of its councillorship tickets to women, promoting inclusivity and diversity in the electoral process.

This development underscores the APC's dedication to promoting gender equality and providing opportunities for women to participate in governance. By reserving key positions for women, the party has demonstrated its commitment to addressing the underrepresentation of women in politics.
