Brest celebrated their Champions League debut with a 2-1 win over Sturm Graz, thanks to goals from Hugo Magnetti and Abdallah Sima, securing a historic victory for the French side.
Brest made a triumphant Champions League debut, defeating Sturm Graz 2-1 at Stade du Roudourou. Hugo Magnetti's stunning half-volley opened the scoring midway through the first half.
Edimilson Fernandes' own goal leveled the score for Sturm Graz on the stroke of halftime, but Abdallah Sima's 56th-minute winner secured Brest's historic win.
Sturm Graz's European Return Ends in Defeat
Sima held off defender Emanuel Aiwu and finished with precision, marking his first goal for Brest. The Ligue 1 side, playing in Europe for the first time, dominated despite Sturm Graz's early equalizer.
