EPL: Erling Haaland Scores Twice as Manchester City Maintains 100% Record
Erling Haaland's double helps Manchester City recover from an early goal to beat Brentford 2-1, keeping their perfect Premier League record intact.
Erling Haaland scored twice to take his Premier League tally to nine goals in four games, as Manchester City came from behind to beat Brentford 2-1. Yoane Wissa scored the quickest goal of the season after just 23 seconds, but Haaland equalized before halftime and scored again before the break.
Haaland's goals ensured Manchester City maintained their 100% record, with 12 points from four games. Despite Brentford's strong start, Haaland's interventions proved decisive, and he was named man of the match.
The Norwegian striker has now scored 99 goals in 103 appearances for Manchester City, with a Premier League ratio of more than one goal per game. His goalscoring ability has been invaluable to City, who start their Champions League campaign against Inter Milan on Wednesday.
