In a candid interview with Five UK, Cristiano Ronaldo reflected on his time at Manchester United, his achievements, and his thoughts on the current manager, Erik ten Hag.


Ronaldo expressed his happiness during his return to Manchester United, stating, “When I'm back at Man United, I was very happy. I was one of the best scorers.” He highlighted his impressive goal-scoring record, saying, “I did unbelievable things with the club. My first season with 37, I was the third best scorer of the league... I scored all the group stage. I scored every game. Even in the league, I scored 17 goals or 18 goals. I did amazing!”




However, Cristiano Ronaldo also shared his concerns about ten Hag's ambition, saying, “Man United manager... you cannot say that you're not going to fight to win the Premier League or Champions League.He emphasized the importance of having a winning mentality, adding, “You've to say like: maybe we've not the potential but we're going to try. You have to try!”


Ronaldo suggested that ten Hag could benefit from listening to former players like Ruud van Nistelrooy, saying, “If Ten Hag listens to Ruud van Nistelrooy... maybe he can help.” He emphasized the value of knowledge and experience, stating, “He knows the club and the club should listen to the guys who were there... Rio, Roy Keane, Scholes, Gary Neville, Sir Alex Ferguson.”
