Super Eagles held to goalless draw by Rwanda in AFCON 2025 qualifier, despite chances from Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman, leaving Nigeria with four points in the group stage.

Nigeria's Super Eagles played a goalless draw against Rwanda on September 10 in their 2025 AFCON qualifying match, following a convincing 3-0 win over Benin Republic on September 7.

The team, led by Eguavoen, now has four points in the group stage.

Ademola Lookman, a 2024 Ballon d'Or contender, had a goal disallowed due to a referee's infringement call, despite scoring twice in the previous match against Benin Republic.

In the final moments of the game, Victor Osimhen, the current Africa Footballer of the Year, had a golden opportunity to clinch victory with a header, but Rwanda's goalkeeper pulled off a stunning save, denying him the winning goal and securing a 0-0 draw.
