Valentin Carboni joins Olympique Marseille on loan from Inter Milan, with a €1m fee, €35m buy option, and €40m buy-back clause, signing a new deal with Inter until 2029.

French defender Valentin Carboni is poised to join Olympique Marseille on a season-long loan from Inter Milan. The move, which includes a medical examination in the coming days, marks a significant opportunity for Carboni to gain valuable experience in Ligue 1.

The loan agreement includes a €1m fee, with Marseille holding a €35m buy option clause to make the transfer permanent. Additionally, €4m in potential add-ons could further increase the deal's value. Notably, Inter Milan has secured a €40m buy-back clause, allowing them to re-sign Carboni in the future.

Before joining Marseille, Carboni signed a contract extension with Inter until 2029, demonstrating the Italian club's commitment to his long-term development. This loan move will enable Carboni to hone his skills and potentially become a key player for both Marseille and Inter in the years to come.
