Katsina State's acting governor, Faruk Lawal, has lifted the curfew that was imposed in response to the nationwide protests against economic hardship.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the Secretary to the State Government, Abdullahi Faskari, confirmed that the curfew in Katsina has been lifted.

“The acting governor's order for lifting of the curfew was to enable people to go about their normal businesses unhindered.

“However, people were cautioned to report any suspicious movement by an individual or group of people to the relevant authorities.”
