Transfer: Arsenal Close to Securing Riccardo Calafiori Deal, Final Hurdle Remains

Arsenal has made significant progress in their pursuit of Italian defender Riccardo Calafiori. Positive talks have taken place behind the scenes with the player's agent, Alessandro Lucci, and Arsenal are now confident of securing the transfer.
As reported earlier, Arsenal and Bologna have agreed on a fee of €40m plus €5m in add-ons and a sell-on clause. Personal terms have already been agreed upon, with Calafiori set to sign a deal until June 2029.
The only remaining obstacle is the resolution of payment terms for the sell-on clause between Bologna and FC Basel. Once this issue is resolved, the transfer is expected to be finalized.
With Calafiori's addition, Arsenal's defense will receive a significant boost. The Italian defender's skills and experience will be valuable assets for the Gunners in the upcoming season.
