EPL: Guardiola Hopeful Kevin De Bruyne Will Stay at Manchester City
Guardiola hopeful Kevin De Bruyne will stay at Manchester City, with no offers received, saying ‘I hope he stays’ and ‘it's up to Kevin,’ but expects him to remain at the club for now.
Pep Guardiola has addressed speculation surrounding Kevin De Bruyne's future at Manchester City, stating that he has not received any offers for the Belgian midfielder. In a recent interview, Guardiola revealed that the club informed him of no incoming bids, saying, “I didn't speak to him. But the club informed me that we didn't get any offer.”
The Manchester City manager expressed his desire for De Bruyne to remain at the club, saying, “I don't know what's going to happen, but I hope that he stays!” Guardiola's words indicate that De Bruyne is an integral part of his plans, and losing him would be a significant blow.
However, Guardiola also acknowledged that the decision ultimately lies with De Bruyne, saying, “It's up to Kevin but right now I'm told he's going to stay.” This suggests that, as of now, De Bruyne is expected to remain at Manchester City, but the situation could change in the future.
