The 2024 Copa América is underway in the United States, and the host nation has kicked off their campaign with a winning start against Bolivia. In their opening match, the USA secured a convincing 2-0 victory, thanks to goals from Christian Pulisic and Folarin Balogun.

The Americans got off to a flying start, with Pulisic scoring in just the third minute of play. He was set up by Timothy Weah, and his goal gave the USA an early lead. Balogun then doubled the advantage just before halftime, netting in the 44th minute thanks to a pass from Pulisic.

Despite a strong second half, the USA was unable to add to their tally, with Balogun's would-be second goal ruled out due to an offside call against Weah. Nevertheless, the 2-0 win was a promising start for the host nation, who will look to build on this momentum in their next Group C match against Panama on Thursday, June 27.

A win in that match would see the USA automatically advance to the next round of the competition.

Meanwhile, Christian Pulisic was named man of the match for his impressive performance, which included a goal and an assist.

The USA will be hoping for more of the same from their star player as they aim to make a deep run in the tournament.
