Frank Chukwuogor as Executive Commissioner for Legal and Enforcement, Abimbola Ajomale as Executive Commissioner for Operations, and Samiya Usman as Executive Commissioner for Corporate Services are among the other SEC appointments that the Senate confirmed.

The Senate Committee on Capital Markets head, Osita Izunaso, presented a report, and the Red Chamber subsequently ratified the appointments.

The nominees passed President Bola Tinubu's qualifications for nomination, according to Izunaso, the senator from Imo West.

“That they were eminently qualified for the positions. They passed all security checks and answered relevant questions during the screening,” Izunaso said.

The Senate conducted a vote and approved the nominees after he completed his presentation.

Barau Jibrin, the Deputy Senate President, demanded the appointees to carry out their responsibilities with diligence for the benefit of the nation.

They should do their work in the best way they can to turn around the economy of Nigeria,” he said.

“They should try not to let Mr President down or the nation. They should do their best to use that institution to promote the well-being of this country.”

Agama was the Managing Director of the SEC subsidiary, the Nigerian Capital Market Institute (NCMI), prior to his appointment.

Having held a number of positions at the SEC, including Head of Public Offerings, where he oversaw fundraising efforts for multiple firms, and Head of Registration Exchanges and Market Infrastructure, Agama offers a wealth of knowledge and experience to the organization.

He also worked for the Commission for eight years as the Executive Commissioner for Operations' Special Assistant. Financial standards, corporate governance, fixed-income securities, collective investment services, and securities and investment services were among the topics Agama advised clients on throughout this time.
