Nigeria's Federal Government has unveiled a historic plan to launch its first person into space.
Dr. Mathew Adepoju, the National Space Research and Development Agency's (NASRDA) director general, revealed this innovative endeavor at a press conference in Abuja.
He emphasized that this partnership places Nigeria among nations actively involved in human spaceflight, marking a significant turning point in the country's 25 years of space exploration.
“This initiative opens up new avenues for scientific research and technological advancement," said Dr. Adepoju.
He emphasized how this initiative has the potential to advance technology and spark young people in Nigeria's interest in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) fields.
