ANYIM Vera, a member of Dunamis International Gospel Center, DIGC, who gained attention after being accused of lying during a testimony, has been arrested by the Nigeria Police.

Vera's story became widely known after the Senior Pastor of the church, Dr. Paul Enenche, interrupted her testimony at the Church Headquarters, questioning her claim of having a BSc in law from the National Open University of Nigeria.

Enenche, who wondered how a supposed law graduate would speak incorrect English, asked for clarification, prompting Vera to reveal her unclear understanding of her degree. The clergy then sent her back to her seat, stating that the testimony was a lie.

Church's Statement on the Incident

In a statement signed by Sylvester Edoh, Personal Assistant/Secretary to the Senior Pastor, the church explained that Vera's inability to state the correct degree for law (LLB) led to the interruption, and clarified that embarrassing her publicly was not intended.

Shortly after the incident, Vera solicited financial help from Nigerians to get better accommodation, claiming her current residence was no longer safe and conducive for her status.

“When we made this extraordinary move, we hoped that our coworkers would be freed and that Binance could collaborate with the Nigerian authorities to address any other issues. Sadly, it did not occur,” Teng remarked
