Tornado Wreaks Havoc in Iowa, Multiple Fatalities Reported

Tornado tears across Iowa, killing numerous people

As strong storms tore over the Midwest, a tornado claimed many lives in the small low-lying hamlet of Greenfield. Debris littered the ground, automobiles were broken, and homes and businesses in Greenfield were completely wrecked.

At a press briefing on Tuesday night, Lowa police acknowledged the deaths, although they were unable to provide an exact figure.

Tornadoes, torrential rain, and blackouts also struck Nebraska, Illinois, and Wisconsin.

The tornado destroyed wind turbines, flipped cars, and leveled buildings.

The deadliest tornado of all struck Greenfield, a 2,000-person village 55 miles north of Des Moines.

The twelve injured people had to seek medical attention elsewhere because the town's hospital was one of the damaged buildings.

Authorities are still counting, but the exact number of deaths is still unknown.
