Joseph Aloba claimed that the late artist rejected his son Liam prior to his passing.

Joseph Aloba asserts that his son Liam was rejected by the late musician Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad, before to the artist's passing.

On September 12, 2023, Mohbad passed away. The next day, he was buried.

His body was exhumed by authorities on September 21 in preparation for an autopsy.

Tests on the singer's remains eight months after she passed away revealed that it had decayed, making an autopsy unable to establish the cause of death.

However, until a DNA test establishes Liam's biological father, Aloba has declined to rebury his son.

Mohbad's father asserted in an audio tape circulating on X that the artist denied being Liam's father.

He asserted that Mohabd had said he had only had one sexual relationship with his wife Wumi prior to her being pregnant.

“They shaved my late son's hair before I got to his house. People saying my son did not reject Liam are lying,” he said.

“He said he only slept with Wunmi once and she brought pregnancy after their first sex.”

Wunmi consented to the DNA test in December 2023, but she insisted that it be carried out at three hospitals.

In addition, she claimed that Aloba wanted Mohbad's possessions for himself and had conspired with others to intimidate Liam and her.

However, a recent court ruling required that Wunmi be informed via alternate channels about an application for a pending DNA test.

Lawyer Olamide Onifade contended in April that if Mohbad had doubts about his son Liam's paternity, he would have tested Liam's DNA.

“Mohbad, during his lifetime, acknowledged that child as his own. Once the father acknowledges his child, no third party can come out and say the child is not legitimate,” she said.
