LaLiga: Memphis Depay to Leave Atlético Madrid as Free Agent
MEMPHIS Depay is set to leave Atlético Madrid as a free agent, with no automatic extension for the next season.
The Dutch forward joined Atlético Madrid in January 2023 from Barcelona for a fee of around €3 million.
Despite some impressive performances, Depay has struggled with injuries and has only played 1,202 minutes for the club.
He has scored nine goals and provided two assists in 40 appearances for Atlético Madrid.
The departure of Depay is part of Atlético Madrid's clearout this summer, with several other players also expected to leave the club.
Depay will be free to sign with any club of his choice, with no sell-on clause or transfer fee involved.
