EPL: Mauricio Pochettino Departs Chelsea FC
Despite Mauricio's dedication and hard work during his tenure, the Club and the manager were not aligned on future projects, including the summer transfer window and the manager's involvement in summer signings. Additionally, the Club's owners were not convinced that Mauricio was the right fit to lead the team forward.
Chelsea FC can confirm that the Club and Mauricio Pochettino have mutually agreed to part ways.
Sporting Directors Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley: “On behalf of everyone at Chelsea, we would like to express our gratitude to Mauricio for his service this season. He brought a high level of passion and expertise to the role, and we appreciate the contributions he made to the team.
“Mauricio will always be welcome back to Stamford Bridge, and we wish him all the very best in his future coaching career. We are confident that he will go on to achieve great things in the world of football.”
The Club will now begin the process of finding a new manager to lead the team forward. We will make a further announcement in due course.
