Burna Boy dabbles into acting, just like Tiwa Savage

Similar to singer Tiwa Savage, who both executive produced and starred in the film Water and Garri, Damini Ogulu, commonly known as Burna Boy, has expanded his amusement empire to include filmmaking.

He is executive producing a film called “3 Cold Dishes” in collaboration with Black Mic Mac, a production business.

The Grammy Award winner will star in the upcoming thriller through Spaceship Films, which he co-founded with his mother, Bose Ogulu.

Despite being the primary creative force behind the project, Big Black Mac would co-produce the movie with Ifind, Alma Prods, Asurf Films, and Martian Network.

The narrative of “3 Cold Dishes,” which was written and directed by Tomi Adesina and Asurf Oluseyi, takes place in Côte d'Ivoire, the Republic of Benin, and Nigeria. The movie centers on three teenage sex trafficking victims who plan their retaliation thirteen years after they first met.

Oluseyi called the film “an African cinematic journey like no other” and the largest pan-African film to date.

“This film is a testament to the strength and resilience of its characters, and it took us blood and sweat to get it to this stage," he said.

Star-studded cast members include Brutus Richards, Wale Ojo, Osas Ighodaro, Femi Jacobs, Ruby Akubueze, and a few Ivorian and Senegalese actors.

One of the twelve projects that Big Black Mac, a production firm that supports talent from Africa and the Middle East, has lined up is “3 Cold Dishes.”

The company plans to produce and release a slate of films and TV series from both emerging and established creators, highlighting the diverse and vibrant perspectives of Africa and the Middle East.

Additional projects in development include: 'The Devil Inside', 'The Three Rascals', 'Apophenia', 'La Sape', 'The Great Transporter', 'The Cage', and 'Let The Earth Burn', a diverse slate of films and series that promise to captivate audiences.
