Possible Rihanna, Ayra Starr Collaboration
Rihanna, who previously collaborated with Tems, is reaching out to Ayra Starr
The Grammy-winning artist from Barbados, Rihanna, has expressed her desire to collaborate with Nigerian singer Ayra Starr.
The pop singers struck up a conversation at the Fenty X Puma party in London, where they recently met.
Starr expressed to the ‘Umbrella’ hitmaker that Barbados, where Rihanna was born, is her “favourite place in the world” during their conversation.
Rihanna acknowledged that her cousin's passion with Starr's music was the only way she had ever heard of the singer.
“I have been hearing of Ayra Starr, I did not know who but my cousin she was like, 'Oh my God I got this from Ayra Starr. She was obsessed with you,” she said.
She also asked if the Nigerian singer and her colleague Tems were working on any projects together.
Starr stated that while collaborations are being worked on, none have been made public as of yet.
“You got an extra verse for me? Call me.” Rihanna joked in response, suggesting her desire in working with the performer.
