Police In Delta Detain 9 People In connection With The Deaths Of 6 Police
Six officers in Delta died, while nine suspects are being held by the police.
The death of six police officers in Delta State's Ughelli Local Government Area has led to the arrest of nine people, according to the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun.
Speaking on Thursday, April 4, during a Force management meeting, the IGP revealed that the suspects who have been apprehended are actively assisting the authorities.
Six Nigeria Police Force policemen were attacked and slain by attackers, setting off a series of terrible events.
Following the assault, the bodies of the fallen cops were found after a thorough search carried out by a cooperative group of law enforcement and security organizations.
6 additional Policemen are still listed as missing.
This occurs after a horrifying event in which 17 military servicemen were killed while on a peacekeeping assignment in the Okuama hamlet.
In response to the event, military authorities reaffirmed their unflinching commitment to removing criminal elements from the nation and vowed to pursue the offenders ruthlessly.
The security forces, unfazed by such vile acts of violence, are resolved not to let the defeat break their resolve.
