Nigerian Student, 17, Receives Scholarships From Harvard, 19 Other International Colleges

THE 17-year-old Nigerian student Oluwafemi Ositade has been granted full scholarships to prominent institutions in Canada and Qatar as well as numerous Ivy League schools in the United States, including Harvard.


The total amount of the scholarships he earned exceeds $3.5 million, and he is a member of the Ambassadors College, Ota, Ogun State, Class of 2023.


Ositade's incredible accomplishment can be credited to his exceptional performance on the SAT, where he achieved virtually perfect scores of 760 out of 800 in Reading and Writing and a perfect 800/800 in Mathematics. He also has an impressive college CGPA of 4.04/4.0.


Ositade received 14 scholarships from esteemed universities, nine of which are full-ride scholarships that cover tuition, living expenses, allowances, and all other student costs. These scholarships were obtained thanks to her outstanding achievements and track record of success.


Harvard University, Brown University, Duke University, University of Toronto Lester B Pearson Scholarship, Wesleyan University, Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar, University of Miami, Howard University, Stetson University, Fisk University, University of Toronto, Mississauga Campus, University of Toronto St. George Campus, University of Toronto, Scarborough Campus, and Drexel University are among the universities that have extended scholarship offers to Ositade.


He is not limited by standardized examinations in his academic abilities. With a score of 358 on the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), he placed second in Nigeria for the year 2023.
