THE All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna claims that the suspension of Nasir El-Rufai, the former state governor, is not in the cards.

El-Rufai was reportedly about to be suspended for allegedly engaging in anti-party activities.

Salisu Wusono, the APC spokesperson in Kaduna, stated that there isn't such.

Wusono said, “Nothing like this!”

“My relationship with Mallam Nasir el-Rufai predates 1999. I knew him long before then, and we have been close,” he had said.

“Coming to the SDP secretariat, I don't know why it is so special that people misinterpret or interpret how it suits them. There are a lot of politicians of the APC that have visited me, other parties have visited me.

“Do not forget that not too long ago, Al Mustapha came to my office and people were speculating that he is decamping to SDP.

“Will you be surprised if President Bola Tinubu visits SDP? He knows me and I know him.”

Recently, El-Rufai was spotted with Senator Abdul Ningi, who was suspended after claiming that the 2024 budget had been inflated by N3 trillion. El-Rufai also paid a visit to the Social Democratic Party (SDP) headquarters located in Abuja.

These trips sparked discussions on social media amid rumors that the former governor is preparing a political maneuver.

The SDP's national chair, Shehu Gabam, stated that as he has known el-Rufai for a considerable amount of time, political implications shouldn't be inferred from the SDP visit.
