Campaign Coordinator For Ondo Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa Murdered

Alaba Excel Abbey, a campaign organizer for Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the governor of Ondo State, passed away.

Abbey was murdered at his Supare Akoko, Akoko Southwest Local Government Area, house. He was a ward coordinator for the Lucky Aiyedatiwa Campaign Organization Foot-Soldiers.

David Ajobiewe, the Director-General, said that Abbey wasn't a violent man and condemned the death.

He pleaded with the police agents to investigate the late campaign coordinator's death.

He said, “Excel had been a resourceful coordinator for the Aiyedatiwa campaign organisation in Ward 10 of Supare and was never known to be violent and never had any history of a local or domestic dispute.

“We urge the police authorities to step up investigations into his gruesome murder and bring the perpetrators of the dastardly act to book."

The state police public relations officer, Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, confirmed the occurrence over the phone, saying, “The state command is aware of the incident (killing), but the investigation is ongoing to unravel all that happened.”
